Our Vow Renewal video put together by Mr. Strayhon
Our first year
Anniversary date MAY 14
The Theme of Our Vow Renewal was Mardi Gras.
( OUR FIVE YEAR RENEWAL WILL BE DRACULA THEMED, THIS ONE WILL HAVE A GUESTLIST)
I wanted to do a super honest post about our 16th year together BUT first year of marriage.
Statistics show even if you’ve been together for years, lived together for years ….the first year of marriage is the most difficult.
Living together, dating long term etc …just are not the same as once you make it truly official.I think in most cases, not all wives come into marriage ready for it and for the things that change to stabilize and keep the relationship.
I think Grooms have a harder adjustment to taking on the new role as husband. Women usually have an emotional maturity that men have to grow into.
Communication is key and sometimes I will admit that my Hubby and I still struggle with doing that correctly. But we are doing our best and the love is definitely there. Marriage is work. You have to choose it EVERYDAY, even the hard days.
People get lazy and do not nurture their marriages and at that point usually it’s finished. I hope in our years ahead we continue on the good days and the bad to keep working at it.
We also had some VERY SPECIAL and beautiful moments in our lives together this year too!
Here’s our honeymoon and vow renewal in New Orleans May 2024.
I made lots of Bloody Mary’s of course as my constant cocktail!
Hubby enjoyed lots of Tequila Espolon

I will be back in New Orleans for Halloween with my daughter and a couple of friends for HALLOWEEN 2024. I am looking forward to it. Tried to talk Hubby into missing work and coming but he’s the responsible one (joking). I love the lure and history of the city. Miami is my beach spot and New Orleans is now my land vacation spot. I cannot wait to have a blast at the Vampire Ball.
